SCAM ALERT

February 28, 2026
#YourDuvalClerk has received several messages from customers on February 28, 2026 who received a text message advising that they had an outstanding toll violation related to a recent traffic court case and asking for payment. THIS IS A SCAM.
While the court case number included in these texts is a real case, payment has already been made by the actual recipient of the citation. If you receive a similar message, DO NOT RESPOND.

The Clerk's Office would never make initial contact via text message or demand money to avoid an additional fine/jail in this manner.

Unfortunately, this is not a new type of scam attempt. Information on this, and other attempted scams, can be found on the Clerk's scam alert page available at www.duvalclerk.gov/scams
